Figurative Poetics Downtown Banner Project

In Partnership with Core Design Studio

One glorious year, Fioana McGettigan and Alan Krathaus of CORE Design Studio asked us to gather hundreds of quotes by Houstonians. We gathered voices from hip-hop lyrics, school children, college students, famous writers, poets and reporters, and historical figures to help Core create what we believe was one of the most beautiful and constantly surprising displays of public art in the country. The Houston Management District kept the project up for years longer than originally intended.
